Google AdSense Channels
are the way to track and
monitor the performance
of Google Adsense for your
website or website's desired
content(s). Google AdSense
offers two different types
of AdSense channels: (1)
URL Channels and (2)
Custom Channels.
URL Channels:
URL channels are one type
of Google AdSense
Channel which is used to
track AdSense performance
at the page level or
domain level. Remember,
you must have to specific
some URL in order to use
URL channels. Hubbers (i.e.
HubPages hub authors) can
easily set up URL channels
by specifying the URL to
their hubs or can set up
separate channel for each
of the hubs. You can set up
individual channels if you
want to measure the
performance of the hubs.
But there is a limitation of
using URL channels for
each of the hubs as Google
AdSense allows you only
200 URL channels for each
single Google AdSense
account.
Custom Channels:
Custom ad units are
different than URL
channels. This channels are
used to track ad units.
Remember, you can use
custom channels only into
your own domain. Custom
channels can't be used
revenue sharing sites like
HubPages or other revenue
sharing sites. Using custom
channels, you can easily
track the overall
performance of different
ad units and can
understand with ad units
earn high revenue for you.
By using and analyzing
custom channels you can
easily determine whether
particular sizes, colors and
positions work better than
a different, size, color and
position.
How to set up Google
AdSense URL channels:
To find out the
performance of AdSense,
you may use custom
channels or URL channels.
Both of them are really
excellent to measure the
ad performance. But for
revenue sharing sites like
HubPages, you can only use
URL channels. The
procedure for setting
AdSense URL channels for
your HubPages are the
followings:
1. Log in to your
Google AdSense
account before
setting any URL
channels for your
hub(s).
2. After successful
logged in, click on
the tab AdSense
Setup at the top of
the AdSense logged
in page and then
click on Channels
under "AdSense
Setup" tab.
3. Under AdSense for
Content, select URL
channels. Click on +
Add new URL
channels .
4. You will find a text
box. Now, put the
URL for your hubs
and click on Add
channels to finish
the setup procedure.

Note for using URL
channels:
1. By following the
above steps, its easy
to use URL channels
for your hubs. Now,
remember before
entring the URLs in
the text box. If you
would like to track
all the hubs of your
account then simply
put the url like
hubpages.com in
the text box. Then it
will track all the
hubs under your
hubpages account.
Moreove, if you like
to ad some of the
specific page(s), just
add the page(s) url
(s) in the tsex box.
For example, I want
to track the
performance of this
hub only. So, i just
put the url like
http://
hubpages.com/hub/

in the text box and
and hit Add channel
button.
2. To create URL
channels, never use
the tracker in the
URLs. Remember, if
you put the URLs in
the URLs then you
are unable to track
the performance of
the pages.
Thus following the above
procedure, you can easily
use URL channels for
tracking your hub(s). You
can set maximum 200 URL
channels for your
hubpages account and can
easily figure out the top
channels of your account.
Thus, you can easily
measure the performance
of your hubs easily.

view all the channels
performance and compare
among them and can
choose the best
