Kontera
Many people these days are
trying to make money online.
There are numerous affiliate
programs in which people can
sign up to. Google Adsense is by
far one of the most popular. It
uses advertising ads which are
along side the page which
should be relevant to the
content on that page. Kontera is
an affiliate program that pays
per click(PPC), but it has a
different way of advertising.
Kontera uses in text advertising
links. If a web visitor moves their
mouse over these words then
they are directed to a site
relevant to that word.
Many visitors may not like the
idea that these in text ads are on
the page. Many will not even
notice them. The main difference
between Adsense and Kontera is
the fact that Kontera does not
pay nearly as good. Its click
through ratio is also on average
lower than Google adsense. This
does not mean a person can not
be successful with Kontera, BUT
you will need a ton of traffic!
Take this scenario....Would you
rather have visitors click on ads
that are worth more on your
page or ones that are less? If
someone does click on a
Kontera ad then there's a 99.9%
chance that visitor will not click
on any Google ads. It just seems
that if you want to make money
with Google Adsense then using
Kontera is "counter productive".
In my experience, Kontera is not
worth it unless you get a ton of
traffic. Even then if you got a lot
of traffic then Google Adsense
has more potential. For example:
55 cents from an Adsense click is
much better than a couple cents
from a Kontera click. I think
Kontera does have a lot of
potential, but compared to
mutual use in your website or
hubs it may be "counter
productive". Obviously this is just
my opinion, but I think others
may feel the same way.

If you are thinking of signing up
for Kontera give it a try if you
wish. Making money online has
so many variables. Traffic, click
through ratio, luck, Pay per click,
and things going on in the world
on different days of the year
which influences internet traffic.
These could include holidays,
weather, and much more.
Kontera may be worth it to you,
but you will most likely find
Google Adsense to come out on
top. If your main goal is to make
as much money as possible with
Adsense then Kontera should
not be used in conjunction with
it. Experiment with Kontera if
you do choose to give it a try.
See if it takes away adsense clicks
or you simply don't make much
for the clicks. Most clicks are
only worth a few cents. Even
getting 30 clicks may not seem
very productive.
Kontera has a lot of potential,
but has long ways before it can
be at the prestige Google
Adsense is at. Perhaps Kontera
will improve its program. Until
then Google Adsense seems like
the better option for maximizing
potential revenue. It would be
more beneficial to use Amazon
in conjunction with Adsense then
Kontera. The advertising links
just are not up to par with
adsense....
